Did you know that genius ideas arrive
when you are not actively working on something?
Many famous composers, like Beethoven, have expressed the idea that their masterpieces seemed to come to them as if from a higher source or inspiration.
Richard Wagner said, they came to him in his dreams.
Even scientists, like Einstein, had major breakthroughs due to inspiration.
Many, like you and me, have their best ideas arrive in the shower, on a walk or in day dreams.
Why is this?
When we are working, we are usually using our conscious mind.
This means it’s in an active state.
To open up to our genius, our mind needs to switch to a receptive state.
When we let this happen, the channel to our unconscious opens up.
We go into an expanded state of consciousness and the information can emerge.
The unconscious becomes conscious.
A little note of caution:
When we open our channel, it can happen, that the material that comes up is far from genius.
Subconscious material, like difficult past experiences, repressed emotions, traumas etc. can surface.
When this happens, it’s important to process them, if needed with a professional.
The more we work on and integrate this subconsious material, the more creative ideas will be able to come through.
When have you had genius ideas? What were they?
